A Chios Story
Chian hospitality and rustic elegance await you at Kapetanospito – a boutique guesthouse immersed in the charm and tranquility of the old village of Kardamyla, yet only a short drive away from the lively fishing ports and pristine beaches of Northern Chios.
Inspired by Captain Manolis Sarris, who in 1910 moved into the imposing family stonehouse that would later house his family, the property was lovingly restored and expanded by his grandchildren. It preserves the Genoese-influenced arched cellars and the centuries-old doors and windows of the front entrance.
Kapetanospito, Greek for Captain’s house, is a tribute to Kardamyla’s nautical tradition and offers two separate three-storey vacation homes, each with its own size and character. Booked individually, each of them offers an authentic, private, and comfortable holiday base for 2-6 people from which to explore Chios, enjoy the Greek lifestyle, and even get some work done! Together, they comprise the perfect setting to accommodate larger groups and family reunions for up to 12 guests.
An inspired combination of rustic warmth and contemporary style, it boasts exposed stone walls, cave-like bathrooms and farmhouse kitchens, while offering popular amenities, local products, and artful touches.
